Ask a Librarian
Our professionally staffed library serves as a clearinghouse for information produced by and about cities and provides reference and survey services. Surveys for MTAS consultants and city officials are conducted by the library staff to collect unique information on municipal government not available from other sources.

New! Live Chat Pilot Project
MTAS is always working to find effective ways to communicate with cities. With more and more cities contacting MTAS by email and through the MTAS website, it was a natural next step to add a live chat feature to the MTAS website. For the next three months, MTAS will provide a live chat window on our website. At the end of the three months we will evaluate the service and decide whether or not to continue the service.
Questions will be answered if possible in the chat session but it is possible that the chat session will only be the beginning of the conversation and it will continue via email or phone with library staff or other MTAS staff member or consultant.
The live chat box is on the right side of this screen. A library staff member will be available to respond Monday-Friday, 9-11a.m. and 1-4 p.m. EDT.
So, give it a try and see what you think!
Of course, you can still email or call us. We are here for you, however you decide to contact MTAS!
